Other apps want your evening. This one wants your Saturday.

AR.t is a map of things people leave at real places — a photo, a song, a short video. You can see that something is there, but the only way to open it is to go there.

Connecting people and places

Less doom scrolling. More real life.

Most apps are built to keep you on the sofa. AR.t is built to get you off it. It turns your town into a map of moments — and the only way to see them is to go out and find them.

A map of moments

  • Photos, songs and short videos
  • Left by friends, artists and creators
  • At the exact spot where it happened

Only opened by going

  • See the pin from anywhere
  • Open it only when you’re there
  • Every drop is a reason to head out

Every trip counts

  • Every place you reach is stamped in your Passport
  • Milestones earn seals that never come off
  • The activity is the product — the app is the receipt

How it works

You can see that it’s there. You just can’t see what it is.

  1. Leave something

A photo, song or short video, right where you’re standing. Add a topic, and choose how close people must come, when it opens and who can see it.

  2. It becomes a pin

It shows on other people’s maps, sealed.

  3. Friends go there to open it

The card shows the streets around it. Walk to the spot and it opens.

  4. Every visit counts

Each trip to your drop is a Drop Visit.

Can’t get there? An Unlock Token opens one drop from anywhere — the only way in without going.

Your map

Your map fills up with what you care about

You don’t need friends on the app for it to be full. Follow the people, topics and places you care about, and whatever they leave reaches your map — wherever you are.

People you follow

Friends, bands, artists, influencers. Whatever they leave, wherever they leave it, shows up on your map — so a friend’s photo from Tokyo is still waiting when you get there. Tap a face to open their passport.

Topics you follow

Follow a topic and see everything tagged with it, even from people you’ve never met. Anyone can start a new one.

Places you follow New

Your favourite bar, a park, a gym, a church. Search any place, or tap its name on the map, and follow it. It shows as a square on your map with a gold star, and every new drop there reaches you.

Close friends

Tap the star on someone’s passport to make them a close friend. Some drops are only for them — everyone else never knows they exist. Only you can see the list.

Why people keep going

A passport, not a photo feed

Every account is a passport. Its cover takes the colour of your level, its pages fill up as you go, and nothing in it can be bought — only earned by going places.

Inside every passport

  1. Your photo pageYour title, like Bronze Wanderer, your level and your signature.
  2. ObservationsThe colour, the word, and what moves you up.
  3. ConnectionsFollowers, the topics and places you follow, and your close friends.
  4. Coverage & visitsThe ground you’ve covered, and everyone who travelled to what you left.
  5. SealsThirty milestones, from First Drop to Destination. They never come off.
  6. EntriesA stamp for every place you reach — by week, by month and by year.

The colour · seven levels, earned by going places

  1. Green
  2. Turquoise
  3. Blue
  4. Bronze
  5. Silver
  6. Gold
  7. Red

Everyone starts Green. Levels never go down — and the cover changes colour as you rise.

The word · what you’re known for

Wanderer
You cover new ground.
Landmark
People come to you.
Maker
You leave a lot behind.
Notable
People follow you.

What moves you up

  • Drop Visits — people who travelled to what you left
  • Drops you’ve left

Entries and seals

Every place, stamped

Reach somewhere new and it’s stamped into your passport, with the date — a page for every week, month and year. Swipe through them like a real one.

Hit a milestone and you earn a seal: your first drop, ten people coming to see what you left, the first person ever to reach a square. Thirty of them, and they never come off.

An example Entries page: a month of stamps from Brick Lane, Borough Market, Camden Lock and more. An example Seals page: ten seals earned, and the next three with progress bars.

Coverage · our key number

The ground you’ve really stood on

The world is split into squares about a kilometre across. Leave a drop in a square and it joins your coverage — and because you can only leave a drop where you’re standing, every square is proof you were really there.

  • Each square counts once. Coverage only grows when you go somewhere new — it can’t be faked from a sofa.
  • Be the first. Leave the very first drop in a square and it’s marked as ground you reached before anyone else.
  • Home never counts. Drops inside your home zone stay out of it, so your coverage never gives away where you live.

Added up across everyone, coverage is a live map of where people really go.

Built to be safe

  • 18+ at launch

A parent-approved teen version comes later.

  • No anonymous posts

Every drop has a name on it.

  • Your home stays private

Drops inside your home zone are hidden from everyone but close friends.

  • Location only while it’s open

The app uses your location only while you’re using it.

Where we’re going

Launching region by region

Each region opens with its biggest student cities on the same day, seeded first by campus ambassadors and local creators — so every map is full on launch day.
